 I am a poet, journalist and creative writer, founder and
coordinator of mixed media productions an inclusive fusion of all art forms.
My
first poetry collection 'awakenings' was published in Boston Massachusetts.
My
poems are published also in 'Between the circus and sewer', 'rainbows and stone',
poetry plus anthology 93/94, and in the journal of modern writing Boston 2001.
My background includes radio broadcasting producer, and print journalism. I am
a member of the N.U.J and facilitate creative workshops with the V.E.C. and for
Roscommon County Council Library Services. I also deliver poetry themed
workshops to junior school children.
My flagships include: Artistic
Director/Founder of Siarscéal Festival, production and exclusives whose sponsor
and patron is Ritchie Farrell, Roscommon County Council County Librarian and in
collaboration also with Donall Mac Aodha, Roscommon County Council Irish
Officer.
I am Founder also of Optimalavenues an international
multi-cultural mixed media production a collaboration of work between
Massachusetts and Ireland, which I founded in Boston in 2000.
Working towards integration and inclusion o/a outreach included participation
from community groups, asylum seekers and people with disability.
